hello
I was just wondering who are you guys (the initiators) and where are you from?? where did you learn?and whether you sometimes make your own techniques and things like that?
Thank you and sorry for asking too much,I just need to know this info
as I am from Kuwait,I learned some martial arts here then stopped due to health problems, now I am fine and trying to restore my shape and stamina to learn martial arts again,I do not like dojos who train us like "see the technique and do like I do" with no philosophy or guidance and discipline.

The Kouryou Kai has its own system that was developed based on the skills and training of every member. It is always evolving, so yes, we do create new methods. Each initial member has a different background. My own is rather varied. I began with Ninjutsu from a personal teacher (a guy knew it and taught me... nothing huge), which then lead me into other styles, such as Judo, Karate, and so forth. These days I focus entirely on our own system. Nothing has ever worked better for me.
As for your health issues, I am sorry to hear about your dilemma. That is one area we stand above most. We have ways and are always developing new ways to help those with issues that would normally keep them from training. In my early days of teaching I ran into a problem when a very diligent student had horrible asthma. This brought about issues because of the emphasis we have on overall conditioning. So we used old methods to help breathing issues, while carefully adapting new methods. In the end, his asthma began to fade, at least enough for him to train without so much trouble. He wasn't the first case of this, however. I had personally ran into this before. My own brother had a much lighter asthma issue. He was able to defeat it completely in a couple months of training.
If you need any advise on getting back into shape, let me know. That's a specialty of mine. Everything from the diet to the exercise.
